The nslookup(1M) command may fail and display the message "server can't find [hostname].[domainname]
- on Solaris 10 systems with patch 119783-29 (sparc) or patch 119784-29 (x86_64), or a newer revision of that patch
- or on Solaris 11.x systems using Solaris 11.1 with SRU 19.6 or newer.
The nslookup command does make use of the resolver option ndots in resolv.conf(4), that it did not use before.
