Symptoms

In this environment,  Secure Global Desktop (SGD) server(s) are configured to use LDAP or Active Directory (AD) Login Authentication.  With the directoryservices Log Filter enabled as per:

SGD administrators find that the resulting log file shows every 30 minutes the error messages of the type below:

Lookup of "<DN>" failed : com.sun.directoryservices.service.DirectoryServiceException: Failed to process request [Root exception is javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 - 0000208D: NameErr: DSID-031001E4, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match of:


WHERE <DN> is the Distinguished Name of a user e.g



 

 

Changes

The LDAP/AD user that is the subject of the error message has been moved within LDAP and their Distinguished Name (DN) has changed.
