Symptoms

prtdiag reports a much lower processor speed than typical:

Memory size: 130560 Megabytes

================================ Virtual CPUs ================================

CPU ID Frequency Implementation         Status
------ --------- ---------------------- -------
0      749 MHz   SPARC-T3               on-line
1      749 MHz   SPARC-T3               on-line
2      749 MHz   SPARC-T3               on-line
...

Also the V_VCORE sensor thresholds contain the values of a T5-x:

   MB/C0/V_VCORE    | 1.050      | Volts      | ok    | 0.725     | 0.775     | 0.825     | 1.325     | 1.375     | 1.400

The proper output should appear like:

System Configuration: Sun Microsystems sun4v SPARC T3-1
Memory size: 15872 Megabytes

================================ Virtual CPUs ================================

1      1649 MHz  SPARC-T3               on-line
2      1649 MHz  SPARC-T3               on-line

   MB/C0/V_VCORE    | 1.025      | Volts      | ok    | 0.925     | 0.950     | 1.000     | 1.075     | 1.100     | 1.125
