Oracle HSM: Redhat 6.X Linux Shared QFS Clients Cannot Write To QFS File System With Multipath Enabled (Doc ID 2040911.1)

Symptoms

With multipath /dev/mapper devices configured in the SAM-QFS configuration file (/etc/opt/SUNWsamfs/mcf), a RH6.X Shared QFS client cannot write to the QFS file system.

The problem is not seen when Linux multipath is not configured.  This problem is also not seen with RH5.X clients using multipath.

Changes

The customer configured RH6 clients to use multipath devices.  Example configuration methods shown below. 

A '/opt/SUNWsamfs/sbin/samd config' command auto-generates an mcf file, with example entries like the following:
