Purpose
The purpose of this document is to show the expected behavior and timeout values used in the associated drivers when either a FC cable is disconnected or a FC link goes down on a LDOM, which is booting from a vdisk configuring from a two paths mpgroup (one path to one IO domain and the other path to other IO domain). And the vdisk is a LUN residing on a SAN storage array that is connecting to both IO domains via. FC HBAs.
When the problem occurs and without changing on the drivers default timeout values, the application I/Os (Read/Wirte) will be halted for 110 seconds. I/Os will be gracefully resume afterward unless a lower timeout value is set by the application to stop the service.
