Applications freeze with areas not redrawn/repainted when using Oracle VirtualBox via VRDP or RDP (Doc ID 2075703.1)

In a Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) configuration, Oracle VirtualBox is configured to provide Windows Desktops.  When accessing the desktops via vRDP or RDP, the desktops will freezing sometimes, with areas of the screen not redrawn or repainted.  When the desktop freezes, if a window is placed over the application window and then removed, graphics from the window placed over the application window remain.

The VBox log file contains messages containing the text "is out of range".
