X Applications Launched Via Secure Global Desktop 5.2 On Solaris Fail with "Session Failed: Protocol Engine Died"

Symptoms
In this scenario, Secure Global Desktop (SGD) 5.2 is installed on a supported Solaris platform. After restarting SGD from the command line, all X applications will fail to start, with message regarding "Session failed: Protocol Engine died."
NOTE: It does not matter if SGD is restarted using the "tarantella restart" or "tarantella stop" and then "tarantella start".
An example of the errors recorded within the Launch Details window are:
When in this state, the X applications will again launch without any problems after the Solaris server has been restarted.
