How to Configure Secure Global Desktop Gateway to Flag Balanceid Cookie as Secure (Doc ID 2081183.1)

Last updated on MAY 05, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 5.1 to 5.2 [Release 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Secure Global Desktop (SGD) Gateway Administrators may be asked to flag the balanceid cookie as "secure."   The balanceid cookie contains only the external host name of the SGD WebServer that the user has been load balanced to, and is used by the reverse proxy to ensure that subsequent HTTP requests are always sent to the same web server.

Note: Administrators who would like to learn more about the SGD GW balanceid cookie may find additional details within the Administration Guide, here: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E51728_01/E51733/html/gateway-components.html#gateway-apache-config-reverse-proxy-lb
