Windows Update KB3081320 May Cause VirtualBox Guest VM to Fail to Start, Error: 0X8009200D

VirtualBox users may observe behavior where a VirtualBox Guest Virtual Machine (VM) is failing to start, with error:
This behavior has been reported on platforms running the following versions:
- VirtualBox host: Windows 2012 R2
- VirtualBox version: 5.0.0 r101573
- VirtualBox guest: Windows 8.1 64bit
- VirtualBox version: 4.3.16 - 4.3.30
This issue is related to Windows Update KB3081320: When KB3081320 is installed, the machine does not start anymore.
Users that uninstall KB3081320 will find that the VirtualBox Guest VM will start normally.
