Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance: Destroying an Old/Previous Software Package Reports Error

Symptoms
Destroying the old/previous software package from CLI does not work.
When destroying via the BUI, the status shows "deleting" but after some time the status again changes to "previous".
Unable to clean up old firmware package in ZFS and below error messages are reported:
Error1 : "aksh: uncaught error exception (code EAKSH_NAS_NOENT) in script: cannot open 'system/ak-nas-<APPLIANCE VERSION>/boot': filesystem does not exist"
Error2 : "cannot destroy 'system/ak-nas-<APPLIANCE VERSION>/install': filesystem has children use '-r' to destroy the following datasets:system/ak-nas-<APPLIANCE VERSION>/install/svc
"/usr/lib/ak/update/up_delete: line 76: destroy of system/ak-nas-<APPLIANCE VERSION>/install failed:"
