Stale process ids visible in the netstat -u output for TCP connections
Last updated on MAY 10, 2018
Applies to:Solaris Operating System - Version 11.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
The netstat -u option is available with Solaris 11.2 and newer. It adds two columns in the output showing a process id (Pid) and the associated command (Command).
It has been observed that the "Pid" information may point to a non-existent process id and in this case the "Command" column will be empty.
The -u option is new in Solaris 11.2
