This guide describes the process of changing the HP LTO 5 and 6 drive IP address(and the external Dione card, which was shipped with HP LTO4 drives connected in our encryption environment, OKM/KMS).
HP LTO 5 and 6 drives are the only generations that are shipped with native Ethernet port. The port on the drive end is actually an iADT port, which needs a special converter cable, which comes with each library drive tray, to convert the connector to RJ45 connection. HP LTO 1,2,3,4 drives do not have this port. However, HP LTO4 can be ordered with Dione card, which is an external interface chip, which has a native Ethernet port and this same procedure applies to that card as well.
