The goal of this document is to present the best practices for the deployment of NTP on Oracle SuperCluster.

Details
 /etc/inet/ntp.conf file must exist in each database zone; the file must be empty or contain only comments
 A valid ntp.conf file must exist in the Global Zone of the Database Domain
 Exactly one ntpd daemon must be active on the Database domain, and must run in the Global Zone.
 Existing ntp.conf files in non-Database (Application) Zones must be empty
 Verify the state of the ntp.conf file in all unbooted Application Zones in a Database Domain
 Verify the state of the ntp.conf file in all unbooted Database Zones in a Database Domain
 Starting with Solaris 11.3, all non-global zones (Database or Application) must be configured without "sys_time" and with global-time=true
