Possible Various RTP/VQ Related Issues on Long Duration Calls (Doc ID 2109156.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 17, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Session Monitor - Version 3.3.90 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Multiple problems are seen on the long duration calls (note for point 3 below - the RTP recording is set for the particular user so call's RTP should get recorded):

1. The "Call Info / Media Details" display the 10 second chunks starting few hours after start of the call, the few hours in the beginning are missing. See the sample screenshot showing the call start time and then the timestamp around the first chunk:

2. First few initial chunks that are seen (few seconds or minutes worth of initial chunks) are grey, no MOS is calculated, rather a reason "n/a not correlated" is given. See the sample:

3. When the "PCAP download" is used and the RTP/RTCP streams are marked to be included the resulting pcap does not contain any RTP/RTCP, only the signalling. Although there is no error received in any part of this download action. See the sample showing the media streams to be downloadable (thus recorded) while the resulting pcap did not contain them:
