Details

For customers with high-volume import/export requirements, a bulk cartridge access port (CAP) can now be added, to improve import/export capacity 3.7x and performance by up to 5x.

SL8500 Bulk CAPs can be dedicated to a single partition or shared with all partitions. When a CAP is dedicated to a partition, ACSLS can use it as an automatic CAP (automatic-enter mode)

The original rotational CAP will no longer ship with SL8500 manufactured after June 2016.
