Exalytics Linux Broken Pipe Error While Copying Files On CIFS Mount (Doc ID 2115624.1)

Symptoms

OS version: Oracle Linus 5 running on Exalytics

Product :- EMC Isilon OneFS 

When attempting to copy files to a CIFS mount point, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Copy file of size 70~120KB to a specific CIFS mount fails with "Broken Pipe" error.

Any files which are lesser than or greater than the mentioned size are getting copied successfully. 

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Issue CP command for file of 70-120kb to specific CIFS mount point.
2. This fails with a broken pipe error.



Changes

 Samba client rpm was upgraded as part of testing to samba3x-client-3.6.23-9.0.1.el5_11.x86_64
