How to Install/Upgrade Explorer in Solaris 11.3 and 11.4

Symptoms
- Unable to install/upgrade Explorer Version 8.11 (or higher) on Solaris 11.3 and 11.4 via install script "install_stb.sh" or using "pkg install/update".
After installation/upgrade the "pkg info support/explorer" will not show the version included in the STB bundle, but shows the previous existing version - pkg install support/explorer might refuse
- pkg update of support/explorer might refuse to update to a certain version
Changes
Starting from version 7.0 Oracle Explorer is distributed both as an SVR4 package and as an IPS package.
The Explorer package is also included from Solaris 11.3 GA onwards
Package support/explorer gets installed by default with these package groups
pkg://solaris/group/system/solaris-desktop
pkg://solaris/group/system/solaris-large-server
pkg://solaris/group/system/solaris-small-server
The support/explorer packages can be installed or updated from Solaris repository.
The following versions of support/explorers are delivered by Service Tools Bundle
