Symptoms

When performing a backup via zfs(1M) send/recv from an encrypted data stream to an unencrypted dataset, one may encounter error described in this document.

Below is a demonstration of  how one would would encounter such error.

For example, we have an encrypted source zpool "spool" sending data stream over to destination dataset "dpool/backup/s".
