How to Filter out Traffic from Specific Devices from a Large Trace (Doc ID 2144438.1)

Goal

While troubleshooting OCSM issues, it is often necessary to work with large pcap traces. However, if the trace throughput is high (usually for traces from Napatech or traces taken without any filters), simulating the entire trace at once in the lab is not possible - replaying such a trace introduces delays in replaying, causing unrealistic results (especially in VQ-related tests)

For this reason, it makes sense to try to identify an IP range, a device or a list of devices that exhibit the issue which is currently being troubleshooted, and filter out the traffic or interest from the trace.

This document describes how traffic from specific devices can be filtered out from a large trace.
