Solaris 11.3 DTrace Script Is Not Logging SMB Events (Doc ID 2168526.1)

Symptoms

Solaris 11.3 system executing a DTrace script to report SMB read and write activity does return information

smb:::op-Read-done,
smb:::op-ReadRaw-done,
smb:::op-ReadX-done,
smb:::op-Write-done,
smb:::op-WriteAndClose-done,
smb:::op-WriteAndUnlock-done,
smb:::op-WriteRaw-done,
smb:::op-WriteX-done

# /usr/sbin/dtrace -s smb.d
Time(epoch) Time(human) UID GID ClientIP OP Path

The same DTrace script will return read and write information on Solaris 11.2 system.

No DTrace or SMB Server errors are recorded.

Changes

The Solaris SMB Server was upgraded from Solaris 11.2 to Solaris 11.3
