Purpose

The purpose of this guide is to provide further clarification and recommendation which can be used together with the existing Session Monitor Installation Guide found under http://docs.oracle.com/en/industries/communications/session-monitor/index.html -> Choose your release -> Session Monitor Installation Guide -> Section “Installing Operations Monitor Probe on Oracle Linux”. This document does not intend to replace the Installation Guide, but rather to extend it.

Please contact your Oracle technical representative to assist you in deploying your Probe(s) whenever needed.

Scope

This document applies only to version 3.3.x. For the more recent version 3.4.x please refer to the Installation Guide, which documents the use of the new DPDK configuration script which was introduced in 3.4.x. For more details about this script, also see DPDK Configuration With Script configure_dpdk.py for OCSM (Doc ID 2253014.1)
