Last updated on JULY 11, 2022

Applies to:

Sun StorageTek Auto Cartridge Sys Lib SW (ACSLS) - Version 8.4 to 8.4 [Release 8.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ejecting.sh utility does not eject any tape.

Getting errors when using ejecting.sh to eject some LTO5 tapes from their SL8500.
The command issued is: ejecting.sh -d -c 0,1,0 0,1,1 -v lto5_eject_vols
the full output is:

However no volumes are ejected.

Ejecting tapes from cmd_proc works fine.

Changes

The script worked earlier in the day but stopped working when the ssh session timed out to the ACSLS server whilst removing the tapes from the library.

The tapes are in the library as seen in SLConsole - an audit has been done just to make sure.
