Mouse may now work correctly on graphical X application when NUMLOCK enabled (Doc ID 2188660.1)

Last updated on MAY 05, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 5.2 to 5.2 [Release 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Secure Global Desktop (SGD) 5.2 users may encounter odd Mouse (or pointer) behavior within specific provisioned X11 applications.

When launching remote applications provisioned via Secure Global Desktop, the NUMLOCK is typically enabled.  Some graphical X applications may have an issue where the pointer does not work correctly with NUMLOCK enabled.

In such an example, a user may find that clicking within a graph rendered in an impacted X11 application that the click "event" is ignored by the application, unless NUMLOCK has been disabled.

Changes

This behavior may not have been seen in a 4.63 or earlier release.

SGD 4.7 introduced a new X server, which changed how these events are handled.  Details on this change may be found in the production documentation, at:
