Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Should the issue described in this document be encountered, collecting GUDS with the -X3 option will show the following:

For bare metal systems or Control/IO Domains:

# ./guds -q -c60 -i1 -n5 -w0 -X3 -T -r -H0 -s<SR#> -d "Slow IO Performance"

For Guest LDOMs:

# ./guds -q -c60 -i1 -n5 -w0 -X3 -T -M -r -H0 -s<SR#> -d "Slow IO Performance"

iostat shows a read-biased workload.  The disk service times (asvc_t) are good with no IOs queued (wait) in the driver

Changes

Applying the Solaris 10 Recommended Patchset (10_Recommended) that contains 150400-37/150401-37 or updating to Solaris 11.3 SRU 3.6 or later
