Symptoms

 

This document informs about Solaris 10 's limitation regarding IPMP effectiveness and interoperability with zones when there is a network/interface failure and the zone needs to be rebooted.

Error in messages file in the global zone:

Dec 28 23:39:35 <global zone> zoneadmd[20500]: [ID 702911 daemon.error] [zone 'abc'] WARNING: skipping network interface 'nxge4' which may not be present/plumbed in the global zone.: No such device or address
