How to configure rsyslog so that messages are logged with the traditional syslog format (Doc ID 2248369.1)

Goal

 If you enable rsyslog in place of syslog you may note that the format of the logged messages is different:

You have to customize the configuration file /etc/rsyslog.conf if you want that messages are logged with the traditional syslog format.
