Customers have on occasion have submitted Service Requests (SR) to approve or assist with the install 3rd Party Application software on HP servers that are used for the following Oracle Products: Diameter Signaling Router (DSR), HLR Router (HLRR), Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) , Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) (i.e. Policy Management), User Database Repository (UDR), Subscriber Database Management (SDM) and EAGLE Element Management System (E5MS). It is not advised to install and use 3rd party applications unless it is one that has been approved by Oracle such as Symantec/Veritas NetBackup.
Oracle Support cannot provide approval for installation or use of 3rd Party Application software. Further, Oracle Support will not provide installation or testing assistance of 3rd Party Application software and recommends working with your local Product Sales team in opening a Request For Feature (RFF) to explore possible future product inclusion or other options.
Oracle provides the statements on unsupported 3rd Party Applications:
1. Installation, operation, maintenance, etc. of any non-Oracle distributed software is at customer risk and burden.
2. Oracle takes no responsibility of validating or integrating the given software with Oracle product software. This includes any known or unknown side effects of the software. Additionally persistence over upgrade may or may not occur, but Oracle has no claim for it.
3. In the event Support requires the Customer to un-install given software to address any field issue, the Customer is fully aware of the needs and agrees to address the needs.
