Goal

After the successful upgrade of a SGD deployment from 5.1 to 5.3, a long-time end user reports that they are unable to successfully connect from their Windows desktop.  New users are not impacted.

In this scenario, the user saw the following record within the Java console when connecting via IE or Firefox:

java.lang.NullPointerException
at java.io.File.(Unknown Source)
at com.sco.tta.client.so.lwplugin.common.j.o(Unknown Source)
at com.sco.tta.client.so.lwplugin.common.j.a(Unknown Source)
