Attempts to Create a New X Application Object Will Fail Silently when No Values Passed to allowunsecuressh Attribute (Doc ID 2294704.1)

Last updated on JULY 04, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 5.3 to 5.4 [Release 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Secure Global Desktop (SGD) Administrator may find that attempts to create a new X application object via Command Line Interface (CLI) may fail silently if no value, or an incorrect value, is passed to the --allowunsecuressh object attribute at the time of creation.

Reference: allowunsecuressh

This uncommon Xapplication attribute is described in the product documentation, here:

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E65412_01/E65658/html/ssh.html#ssh-x11-forwarding-config

The formal CLI syntax for this attribute is outlined within the commands appendix of the Administration Guide, with allowed values as:

--allowunsecuressh true | false
