T10000/9840/9940 - SLConsole Shows Drive Not Powered (Doc ID 2294989.1)

Symptoms

This problem affects both SL8500 and SL3000. If the drive is powered off using the CLI command the following symptoms will be observed:

SLC shows the T10000 tray with a "Drive Not Powered" status.

If the drive is power cycled then the power led on the back of the tray will blink green and the drive will not power up.

 

Note: Some customers are using the drive power off command to power down the tray for drives they no longer want to use.
