T10000 - SLConsole Shows Drive Not Powered

Information in this document applies to any platform.
This problem affects both SL8500 and SL3000. If the drive is powered off using the CLI command the following symptoms will be observed:
SLC shows the T10000 tray with a "Drive Not Powered" status.
If the drive is power cycled then the power led on the back of the tray will blink green and the drive will not power up.
If the drive is manually powered off using CLI commands it will look like this if you issue the CLI drive print command:
SL8500> drive print 1,4,2,1,3
