Symptoms
Issue is lost locks on Oracle Sparc OVM (LDOM) guest after migration. Processes receive a SIGLOST - which will result in the shutdown (or crash) of applications such as databases.
upon guest resume after the migration, messages similar to this are logged:
<Date stamp> <hostname> klmmod: [ID 424047 kern.notice] NOTICE: lockd: pid 28993 lost lock on server <NFS server name>
Quite often multiple messages like this seen - depending on how many files are locked on the NFS server at the time of the "live migration".
This issue is only present when the locked files reside on a NetApp NFS server, and when NFSv3 (or NFSv2) is used for the mounts.
