Symptoms
After upgrading to Secure Global Desktop (SGD) 5.3, users find that the character application(s) that worked on older SGD version cannot be launched normally on SGD 5.3. For example, the launch results in a blank window with the command prompt instead of the expected character application.
The application server is an older Linux server e.g. RedHat Linux 3
