Windows Desktop launch via Secure Global Desktop hangs at Windows Welcome page

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Users report that when launching their Windows Desktop with Secure Global Desktop (SGD), the launch hangs at the Windows Welcome page. To reproduce the problem, the steps are:
1. Login to SGD and from the Workspace launch a Windows Desktop, then close it by clicking the X at the top right corner.
2. Go back to Workspace, confirm that there is no existing session under the application.
3. Click the application to start a new session.
4. The launch will hang at the Welcome page of Windows session and Desktop does not appear.
The problem will happen no matter how long users wait before step 3. If users attempt to login to the same Windows server using Microsoft Terminal Services client (as the same user used by SGD), this works.
