Solaris Cluster 4.x Adding a zpool to an Online HAStoragePlus Resource the Validation fails or Causes the Filesystems to be Remounted (Doc ID 2328284.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 09, 2021

Applies to:

Solaris Cluster - Version 4.1 to 4.3 [Release 4.1 to 4.3]
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)

In Solaris Cluster a HAStoragePlus (HASP) resource is already configured with Zpools property.

When a zpool that is online and being used is added to a HASP resource the command will fail like this. The used zpool in this example is prod_zone_pool.

If the zpool is imported at the time it is added to the HASP resource the pool will be exported and re-imported. This will cause the filesystems to be remounted. Applications that try to use the filesystems on the zpool during the command execution of clrs, adding the zpool, can then have problems accessing the pool.
