Storage Appliance DNS Service Shows New DNS Servers Offline (Doc ID 2354259.1)

Symptoms

The Browser User Interface (BUI) Admin shows DNS servers offline, with a simulated amber LED.

Other visible symptoms are:

<HOSTNAME>:configuration services dns> select server-002
<HOSTNAME>:configuration services server-002> show
Properties:
                     address = <IP>
                      status = offline             <<<
                         rtt = unavailable         <<<
                     err_msg = Error 0             <<<


Additionally the following message is displays when configuring DNS service in the BUI

'Server <IP>: Error 0. Are you sure you want to apply the current settings?'

Changes

 Newly added DNS servers, especially Windows Server 2016.
