Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance: Cause Of Pending Firmware Updates Not Progressing ? ... Pool Resilver In Progress (Doc ID 2373453.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle ZFS Storage ZS7-2 High End - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Oracle ZFS Storage ZS7-2 Mid-Range - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Oracle ZFS Storage ZS9-2 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Sun ZFS Storage 7420 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Sun ZFS Storage 7320 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
7000 Appliance OS (Fishworks)

Goal

A potential reason why disk firmware upgrades are not progressing is that a number of drives are in the process of resilvering and therefore the partner disk in a mirrored vdev will not be offlined for the firmware to be applied.

This can be checked from the BUI  - pool is degraded  (or from the shell by Oracle TSC).
