Default Route Stopped Working after an SP reset (Doc ID 2375663.1)

Can not ping to an IP address on the other side of the default router  after a power cycle or SP reset.
A snoop or tcpdump on the end system showed the failed ICMP packet arriving with a source IP of, so the end system was not able to respond.
