VCS Cluster Unable to Failover LUNs when One Node Fails using 16gb Emulex FC HBA
(Doc ID 2379629.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 03, 2022
Applies to:
Solaris Operating System - Version 11.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
This problem can be easily reproduced on a two node Veritas Cluster accessing storage via 16gb FC HBA.
Whenever one node is rebooted, the node that is booting and joins into cluster start to report errors like:
It could go on more then 20min. During this period no action can be done (for ex. it's impossible to start RAC and so on).
Sometimes, this behavior leads to panic because of scsi reservation conflict, sometimes this conflict is not in place, but to minimize this timing CU has to put both nodes in obp. "
