Users Report Unexpected Dialog Window, "ttaswm.exe" when Launching Provisioned Windows Applications from a Client with Multiple Displays (Doc ID 2382607.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 12, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 5.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A user connecting to Secure Global Desktop (SGD) using a Windows client with a large local desktop—in this case, spanning 4 independent displays horizontally—reports seeing an unexpected dialog window belonging to ttaswm.exe rendered on the right most (4th) display.  This window cannot be closed.

In this state, the provisioned application will continue to work normally, but the dialog may appear jarring, or prevent interaction with a small, obscured area of the screen within a kiosk environment.

This behavior was originally reported within SGD 5.2, and has been reported against SGD 5.3.

Changes

Note: At this time, the behavior is believed to be related to the composite size of the desktop, rather than the number of physical displays connected to the client.
