Symptoms

Zone attach failed as below

# zoneadm -z zone1 attach -U
/sbin/sh: /etc/zones/zone1.xml: cannot create
zoneadm: zone 'zone1': 'copy' failed with exit code 1.
Cannot generate the information needed to attach this zone.

Changes

It is unknown what corrupted the directory /etc/zones in the zone called zone1.
