System Hang or Panic Caused by Losing Connectivity with NFS server (Doc ID 2387385.1)

Applies to:

Solaris x64/x86 Operating System - Version 10 1/13 U11 and later
Solaris Operating System - Version 8 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

Symptoms

Systems that access remote NFS shares may hang if the connection with the NFS server is lost, which can resulting in a system panic being forced by certain monitoring tools.
Since the server can no longer access the remote  file system  the monitoring software such as  cssdmonitor/cssdagent tool may decide to panic the node.
