Goal

In the ACSLS 8.4 Installation Guide, there are recommendations in regards to tuning Linux Network and Operating System parameters.  Located here:

Some of the parameters may not be appropriate for all server environments.  For example, the below recommendations are made for shmmax and shmall :


Which is 68 GB of shared memory.

What if a server environment does not have 68 GB of physical memory?  For example if there is only 16 GB of physical memory, what should the shmmax and shmall parameters be set to?
