Oracle HSM: FileSystem Check (samfsck) Fails With Error "Cannot malloc ino array" (Doc ID 2399130.1)

Symptoms

Customer was notified by the system that their filesystem required an fsck.  When attempting to run samfsck they get the error "Cannot malloc ino array" returned every time.

Customer also reporting that the system performance is typically very slow.
