After Switching to LDAP, Oracle Listener will not start under Cluster. Oracle Server Starts Fine
(Doc ID 2407673.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 20, 2022
Applies to:
Solaris Cluster - Version 3.3 U2 and laterOracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)
Symptoms
My Oracle listener resource ( SUNW.oracle_listener) (/opt/SUNWscor/oracle_listener/bin/oracle_listener_start) fails to start after I activated the LDAP client. I had dropped all but system shipped accounts from /etc/passwd and /etc/group and replaced them by LDAP netgroups/users (+UserName or +@NetGroup).
