Goal
As per Alert 2411959.1, a ZFS Storage Appliance with 18GB or 73GB log cache drives and an 8-Port 6Gbps SAS-2 HBA may panic or hang Due to a SSD Failure.
HBA part numbers:
- 375-3609
- 7056272
Disk models:
- STEC ZeusIOPs
- STEC Z16IZF2EUSUN73G
Oracle has provided a workflow to electrically isolate a defective SSD from the SAS fabric, preventing it from affecting IO to other drives.
An 'Alert' must be configured to trigger execution of the workflow.
