Last updated on JANUARY 03, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Disabled hyperthreading on new DP server and rebooted. Upon recovery, alarmMgr raised "5000000000000004 -- Server Hardware Configuration Error" alarm was observed even though 'syscheck' returned clean and EXPECTED_CPUs matched NumOriginalCpus. Applied workaround in Knowledge article 1902526.2 "Syscheck Errors / Class System / MINOR::5000000000000004 -- Server Hardware Configuration Error." Alarm failed to clear

Changes

New Data Processor (DP) server hardware was recently installed/introduced.  Attempt to disable hyperthreading may have been pursued using the 'hpasmcli' facility provided through HP.
