How to Modify the SGD Client Modes Offered to Connecting Users (Doc ID 2434083.1)

Last updated on APRIL 18, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 5.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The 5.4 release of Oracle Secure Global Desktop (SGD) introduced several significant changes related to how users may connect to the product.

With this release, connecting users may now easily select between preferred client modalities using the new "Client Options" feature, presented by SGD using an updated Authentication dialog window--or by passing a clientmode parameter string directly to the SGD server upon initial connection.

The SGD Administrator has the ability to tailor the supported client types, as well as to change the default modality for connecting users.  These customizations are described in detail below.
