Launches of X11 Applications Fail Users with NFS-Mounted Home Directories, "Error: ErrApplicationServerLoginFailed" (Doc ID 2471947.1)

Symptoms

Secure Global Desktop (SGD) Administrators may receive reports that X11 applications provisioned within SGD may fail to launch for users with NFS-mounted home directories.  If the user has asked for verbose output of the launch attempt--via the Show Details checkbox within the Connection Progress window--an error message may be presented such as ErrApplicationServerLoginFailed.

SGD Administrators who have enabled Diagnostic Launch Logging (<Document 1011288.1>) will find record of these events, such as:

In this scenario, the user is able to independently verify that they can connect--and authenticate--with the application server using existing credentials.
