Symptoms
STA installation failing during the "Setting up STA Schema" phase of the installation process.
From the /tmp/OraInstallyyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ssPM/installyyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ssPM.log:
"[2018-12-10T12:07:09.397-08:00] [as] [WARNING] [] [oracle.as.install.engine] [host: hostname] [nwaddr: 10.10.20.20] [tid: 99] [userId: stainstall] [ecid: 0000MUPi7IA2VOP5QfK6yd1S3gQx000002,0] Detected upgrade, but Unable to resolve STA Home :. Will run in install mode."
The installer appears to detect that this is an upgrade-install (it is NOT, it is a fresh-install).
The /var/log/tbi/install/dbinstall.log was never created.
