This doc is applicable to the upcoming SCZ820/ECZ820 and is KVM only.

On VmWare (VM) the SBC kernel correctly sees the Artesyn card as one device with three functions, but on Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) it incorrectly sees the Artesyn card as three separate devices. When the Guest KVM SBC OS sees the three Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) functions of the Artesyn card as three separate devices instead of one device with three functions, the Artesyn driver init fails when the driver is installed in the SBC kernel. This problem is not unique to the SBC or to the Artesyn card. It is common when configuring any multi-function PCI pass-through device on KVM. The solution is to add the multi-function PCI host to the Guest KVM and then edit the Extensible Markup Language (XML) file on the Guest KVM to recognize the card as one device with three functions.
